While most orders are customized and privately quoted, below are some of the most common pricing inquiries we receive about our events.  For quotes, please

Tables and Chairs:
Tables available at about $10.00 each
Chairs range from $2.00 - $6.00
(a nice chair is available for roughly $3.00)

 

Dishes:
Dishes are available for rent. Each item begins at about $0.45. Many styles and patterns are available at higher cost.

 

Linens:
Tablecloths are available in a wide variety of solid colors and floral prints. Each cloth is rented for $10-$12 each. Skirting is available for approximately $1.50 per foot. Napkins average $0.60 each.

 

Labor:
Our service labor is $25.00 per hour, per server. Generally, for a buffet, we average one server for every 30-40 guests. For a seated dinner, we average one server for every twelve guests. Our labor includes room setup and break down.

 

Billing Arrangements:
50% deposit at the time of acceptance. Final balance is due on the day of the event. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express for your convenience.

Full Service Caterer

 


Chef du Jour has been a full service caterer for Portland-Metro and surrounding areas for the past fourteen years. Each event can be tailored to our clients' whims. We utilize the freshest product of the season - including growing our own herbs and edible flowers and specialty vegetables for selected use. Wild game, seasonal mushrooms, nuts and fruits are standar ingredients. In recent events, we have provided pheasant, wild salmon, exotic fish including whole Mahi Mahi flown in from Hawaii, kosher meats, organic ingredients including vegetables, meat and dairy, spit roasted pig, rotisserie lamb, sushi, and (fire code permitting) flaming desserts.

We have produced wedding receptions in wineries, on yachts, in outdoor venues, under tents, in conservatories, and in warehouses. We have provided plated and buffet dinners for large and small groups alike, both corporate and social.

Many unique client challenges have been solved by our skill, knowledge and creativity. For every event, we plan a multitude of details for the client including:

Chef du Jour is fully licensed and is a full-service caterer. We can provide alocohol, linens, glassware, centerpieces or anything else you need for your event. We have a professionally trained staff, attractive, healthy food, and innovative food styling.
